  • BioThane is an incredibly strong and waterproof material that can be easily wiped clean. No more worry about stinky, dirty leashes and collars!

BioThane CAN be chewed through, so redirect your dog to an alternative behavior/activity if you notice them mouthing on their leash.

NEVER leave your dog unattended while on leash.

  • We are all for keeping as much as we can out of the garbage! If your dog chews through their leash, if the connection piece gets gummed up with sand, or you'd like to refresh your leash by swapping out the hardware if it becomes run down over the years, just contact us via the "contact" form in our navigation menu and we will happily mend your leash. We simply ask that you cover shipping to get the leash back to us; we'll cover the rest!

  • The biggest issue when it comes to BioThane gear (or any leash, really) is sand/debris getting caught up in the spring mechanism of the clasp that connects to your dog. ALWAYS rinse the clasp with fresh water while opening and closing it upon leaving the beach or other sandy/dusty areas.

We never recommend allowing clasps to drag along the ground, as this gives them quite a beating and greatly lowers their lifespan.

  • I am currently taking new training and behavior clients at Training Spot located in Eugene, OR. If you are not in the area and would like to work together we can do so virtually! Either follow the link at the top of this page to be directed to Training Spot’s website, or simply click here.

  • When it comes to achieving genuine behavior change I prioritize getting to the root of the problem and addressing it there. While training with me you will learn how to arrange your dog’s environment to put a temporary pause on unwanted behavior while we will then teach your dog alternative, more preferred, behaviors to replace the unwanted behavior.

Long story short, I will never recommend things that will cause your dog to behave a specific way due to avoiding discomfort or unpleasant experiences (prong collars, e-collars, spray bottles, verbal reprimands, etc.).

Science is beyond the point of using aversive experiences to change an animal’s behavior and I strive to be on the same side as science! If interested, you can read more here.

  • I have been training professionally for five years. During that time I have been incredibly grateful to shadow the work of fellow behavior consultants and other amazing trainers.

My training experience has consisted of the following:

    • Teaching in group and private training settings.

    • Instructing puppy socialization classes (8 - 14 weeks old) in both training facility and veterinary facility locations.

    • Working with behaviors typically labeled as “aggressive,” such as leash reactivity, resource guarding, “stranger danger,” and conflict within multi-dog households.

    • The breeds I’ve worked with range from Cane Corso to Chihuahua to German Shepherd to Doodle to Cirneco dell’Etna to Great Pyrenees to wolf hybrid to Corgi to Mexican Street Dogs and so many in between!
