Leash Reactivity
Workshops
Behavior support a little easier to say “yes” to.
Walks can be challenging when your dog barks, lunges, or struggles to stay comfortable around other dogs. When every outing feels like something to manage, it can be difficult to know where to start.
Collie & Corso's virtual Leash Reactivity Workshops offer practical, reward-based education in a small-group setting. Learn how to better understand your dog's behavior, build useful training skills, and approach challenging moments with greater confidence, all from home.
Small group. Practical skills. No pressure to have it all figured out.
What you'll learn
These live, 60-minute workshops focus on practical skills and concepts you can begin applying to everyday walks. We'll explore how to:
Better understand your dog's behavior. Learn how stress, uncertainty, frustration, and other factors can influence your dog's responses on leash.
Build useful training skills. Explore positive reinforcement-based strategies that help you support your dog around triggers and reinforce behaviors you'd like to see more often.
Recognize when your dog needs support. Learn how to read your dog's behavior and adjust your approach to make training more manageable.
Approach walks with a plan. Develop a better understanding of how to practice skills, navigate challenging situations, and build on small successes over time.
How it works
Live, virtual instruction
Join us through Google Meet for a 60-minute workshop you can attend from the comfort of home.
Small-group format
Each workshop accommodates a maximum of six participants, creating a more intimate learning environment without the cost of individualized consulting.
Practical, positive reinforcement-based education
Learn strategies grounded in positive reinforcement, with an emphasis on supporting your dog rather than relying on fear, intimidation, or punishment.
A summary to revisit
After the workshop, you'll receive an email summarizing key concepts and takeaways to help you put what you've learned into practice.
Is this the right fit for you?
These workshops may be a good fit if your dog barks, lunges, or struggles around other dogs on walks, and you're looking for an approachable place to begin learning new strategies.
They're especially suited to guardians who want to better understand leash reactivity, learn practical skills, and explore positive reinforcement training in a supportive group setting.
Looking for individualized guidance?
Every dog and situation is different. If you need help developing a training plan specific to your dog, navigating a bite history, or working through complex behavior concerns, private behavior consulting may be a better fit. Individualized consulting allows us to consider your dog's history, environment, needs, and progress in greater depth.

What to bring
You won't need much to participate, but a little preparation will help you get the most out of the session.
A device with a reliable internet connection and access to Google Meet.
Small, pea-sized pieces of food your dog enjoys. As a general starting point, prepare about one cup for a small dog or two cups for a medium or large dog.
A comfortable space where you and your dog can participate without unnecessary distractions.
Your questions, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
You won't need to bring your dog into a busy environment or recreate difficult encounters during the workshop. You can participate from home and work at a pace that feels manageable for you and your dog.
A note on progress
Leash reactivity can have many contributing factors, and every dog brings their own history, needs, and learning pace. A single workshop won't resolve every behavior concern, and specific outcomes can't be guaranteed.
Think of this as an opportunity to build your understanding, learn practical tools, and take a meaningful next step toward more comfortable walks together.
Ready to get started?
You don't have to figure everything out on your own. Join a small group of fellow dog guardians, learn practical reward-based strategies, and take the next step toward more manageable walks.
